TaTa Tops was created from my own experience navigating motherhood and postpartum—one of the most vulnerable, demanding, and transformative seasons of life. After countless nights of feedings followed by early-morning work meetings, I found myself searching for clothing that could truly support my postpartum body, my breastfeeding needs and my natural ambition as a go-getter. I couldn’t find it, so I decided to create it.

I was raised by a single mother and business owner who showed me, through action, what resilience looks like. As a first-generation American, I grew up watching her navigate motherhood with strength, resourcefulness, and grace. She breastfed all three of her children through long, demanding journeys—long before breastfeeding was openly supported or widely normalized. That legacy shaped my understanding of care, endurance, and the power of a woman’s body.

Today, I’m a mom of two, a master’s-educated professional in financial services, and a lifelong problem-solver. I speak five languages, have lived and traveled internationally, and I’ve always believed that motherhood and ambition are not opposing forces. When something essential doesn’t exist—or doesn’t exist well enough—I believe it can be built.

TaTa Tops was born in the space between long night feedings and early work meetings, when I needed to show up polished, confident, leading a team and capable while running on very little sleep. I quickly realized how few maternity, breastfeeding and nursing options support a woman’s changing body or reflect the reality of modern motherhood. Most breastfeeding nursing tops are made with synthetic fabrics that don’t breathe, don’t adapt, and don’t honor the shifts our bodies experience through pregnancy, postpartum, and breastfeeding. Not many talk about all the misfunctions. the leaking with newborn babies and how you still want to show up put together when you answer the door. Many moms, because we are so strong, just navigate newborn phase in a haze with discomfort. 

I began designing what I wished existed with all the elements a breastfeeding top should have in one—using organic and natural fabrics that move with the body, feel good against the skin, help to heal and support women through an entire journey, not just a single season. Provide leak proof materials, functionality and flatter, while helping sensitive skin and feel good for every woman's body at every size. I created, perfected, wore my designs through my real-life breastfeeding journey and corporate ambitions and shared them with other new moms, who kept asking for more and also sharing with other moms.
